VT - Bull Moose

Hello Everyone,

Just thought I would share the success of my brouther moose hunt. For those of you not familiar with Vermonts moose regulations, you're allow 3 people on a moose tag....the tag holder, a secondary shooter, and a guide. I was the guide, and my father was the secondary shooter.

This was our first moose hunting adventure, ever !

It was the third day of the season, Monday Oct. 17, 2005 the moose wieghed 690 lbs. and sports a 17 point rack with a 46-1/2" spread.

Hope you all enjoy Big smile

Congratulations and thanks for the report.

Not too many moose in Utah; I'm envious of you folks.

In manitoba im pretty sure we have a 2 part moose hunting policy, and for treaty natives you can have as many as you want.

a SAD Day for us.

Sadly only 13 days after my brother shot this moose (his first moose), the freezer which we had around 75% of his meat in caught fire. We lost everything Cry baby if it had not been for the sprinkler system, installed in my apartment; the fire dept. said we probably would have lost the house too.

But......all and all it was a great hunt, and will make for a lifetime of memories

On other strange note, my brother pointed out that his moose had:

- 17 points

- Shot on the 17th of October

- His permit # was 17

- and he is turning 17 in Nov.

Shortly after my brother notice this odd coincidence, has said “I need buy a pick 3 lottery ticket with the numbers 4 – 1 – 7” (meaning four – seventeen’s). The following day we picked up our rolls of film, and the first roll we had used to take pictures of the moose was roll # 417. Pretty strange uh?
