Just found out that a classmate I haven't talked to in 20 years got invited to be the sub-permittee on an archery hunt with his buddy. He's excited.
Boy Mike, they really dropped the permits the last year or 2. I could swear they were up in the 700-800's a few years ago, but only 405 this year???? Maybe that's where the tag quota will hover now that they have the moose population wehre they want it.
As the allure of hunting big whitetails becomes more and more a passion for many, we are finding that the recent (historically speaking) popularity of hunting deer from a tree stand is becoming the way to do it. I'll make no statement either for or against that technique here. This will be simply an essay on what I feel are some outstanding rifles for tree stand use.
