I would love to see NO Anterless permits for a couple years. I've been hunting in Vermont since I was a kid. My dad has been hunting there for more than 30 years. Although we've taken our share of animals, we are not seeing alot of deer. I know the habitat can handle a large increase in the deer population.

Maybe you all won't have as severe of a winter this go around, that would probably help out some as well.

Over on our hills the winters have been pretty mild for several years running and has contributed to a big elk herd....

I agree, Vermont should do away with the anterless permits for a few years. My feeling is that the state of Vermont will feel they will loose to much money. Please correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the Legislature have the power to end this and not the Fish and Wildlife Department?

I agree that the no.s should be lowered, you don't see as many as you used to. maybe giving them a chance to increase there numbers later on then maybe have an antlerless permit, when they seem to be exploding in size.
