Venison Egg Rolls

I sure wish the powers-to-be would add a "Recipe" area to this web site.  I found a Venison Egg Roll recipe on youtube and thought it needed to be shared.  Here is the link - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KAktIEMj34

Here are the ingredients and the brief instructions...

2 lbs Meat (ground or diced small) 1 lg carrot, grated
2 stalks celery 16oz bag bean sprouts
1/2 head cabbage 1/2 tsp pepper
2 eggs 1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 onion, chopped 2-3 pk egg rolls (40)
1 green pepper, chopped

Cook the meat, season to taste. Add to all other ingredients in a large
kettle. Cook on medium heat for 30-60 minutes until vegetables are tender.
Drain the liquid from the mixture. Place a large spoonful onto an egg roll
wrapper, fold and roll according to wrapper directions. Deep fry egg rolls
until golden brown. Serve with Sweet & Sour sauce. These freeze well.
To reheat, place in oven @ 375F for 15 minutes, turning once.

Looking at other recipes the oil needs to be at 350 to 375 degrees and you fry for 5 to 7 minutes or until golden brown.  MMMMMMMMM!!!!!! I will be tweaking the recipe a bit and making these on Saturday.  Here is another video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCdlFbBIwM0

DEEEElicious!

I made these saturday.  I substituted bok choy instead of regular cabbage and I did not use the green pepper as I didn't have any but used some chopped jalapenos.  Also made the homemade sweet and sour sauce.  Man it was a great feast!

Yum!

Sounds delicious!

I've been making a lot of oriental dishes lately and substituting antelope for beef. I'll have to give your eggrolls a try, thank you.
