"Value" priced rifle

The action was sticky, but we worked it and lubed it a lot and it worked a lot and eventually it was fine. Accuracy was great, it grouped fine, and it was just a straight dial-in and he (my brother) was dead on.

He took a great 8pt with it this fall, and as testament to the action being workable he managed a follow-up shot after he thought he missed on his first. Turns out both shots were on target, the deer showed no reaction to the first. The second dropped it.

If I was on a budget, its the rifle I'd buy for sure.

the 200 stevens is all you need. all cheaper rifles arent as nice looking as more expensive ones but you have to understand that before you purchase it. if you dont care about looks and thrills then it will serve you fine. its the same as a cadillac or a cavalier, they all drive.and besides the 200 stevens are very accurate....same bolt as the 110 savage so take it from there. as far as them 710 remingtons go stay away from them. the way the bolt is designs is completly junk....not worth 2 dam cents...cant believe rem would come out with it to be honest...thanks again

I think I'm leaning towards the mossberg. Does anyone know whether Walmart in Canada sells firearms? I know they sell ammo but I've never looked for a rifle there.

thanks

If you want to go the mail order route try SIRmailOrder or Wholesale Sports of Canada. I've purchased firearms from both companies and was generally pleased with service. But I did find the customer service reps at Wholesale Sports to be more knowledgeable.

And ordering a non-restricted firearm through the mail is a piece of cake. No more sending in your FAC. Just rhyme off your number on your firearms card and your off to the races.

Not sure about Wholesale Sports but SIR still ships C O D if you prefer that method. I called them Friday and ordered a new rifle, comming COD, took all of about five minutes as souwest_ghillie said.

I'don't think you'll be neener! neener! me. I bought a Savage 93 G 22 mag with the accu-trigger system Now if not mistaken you have the same rifle. I loved the reviews as to accuracy and the adjustable trigger Thumbs up

And when I get the gear to reload my mags for that little Puppy, you'll be able to hear it in Chester Basin Yes Yes Yes

Maybe I'll just intercept that shipment in Halifax. A pair of twins sound nice. You will love the accuracy though. I was very impressed considering all the neg. stuff you hear about .22 mag accuracy potential. I use the CCI Maximag+V ammo in mine.
