I heard 35000.00 for same hunt.80 hunters 4000 elk do the math.

The valdes has a huge population of elk but, the recently the ranch was private. They only allowed a certain number of hunters who were willing to pay the price to hunt. I think that they have now turned it into a wildlife refuge, and still only permit a few people to hunt. The average cost is around 10,000 for an elk, and probably even higher for a mule deer.

Thanks for the info, guys. Do you mean that even now that when it is under government wildlife control the cost will still be $10k?
