Utah elk hunters???

9ner just an fyi, i still just put in for a pref point however my brother put in for north cache. Witch was a suprise because i though he was waiting, so in 2009 i will hunt any unit in utah i prefer. in 2008 i have the middle fork b tag for the frank church in idaho. But in utah the san juan, elk ridge and the Mt dutton tend to be the preimere hunts in the state. With the wolf situation escalating i think the sooner the better to draw. And also you now have to buy a utah hunting license just to get a preference point. that makes hunting utah more expensive. My points cost me 85.00 this year not real happy about that. so for sure in 2009 i will use my points to hunt utah and them be done with that state. cool Think

point

I just put in for a point, also. I'm gonna sit tight for a couple years until my son is a little older. We'll see what happens to the point creep with the new fee structure and go from there. I need to draw my NH moose tag so I can commit to the UT elk hunt. The moose tag has a waiting period after a successful draw so then I could concentrate on a bg UT elk. Maybe this will be the year?
