Utah 2012 applications

i thought applications were starting in a few weeks for utah, but since they are changing the deer units, will they be able to keep with their deadline for the end of february?

do any of you guys know or have found out when the application period begins? i checked the departments calender of events and it listed nothing.

 

just have to be sure to not miss it!

Not sure about all the other details but the application period for 2012 is February 1st to March 1st.

Interesting.  I wonder if they will have the changes completed by Feb 1st.  Our DFG is notoriously slow, they'd never get it done out here... lol

The application period for

The application period for Utah starts on February 1 and the guide book should be available on line on 12/20 or so they say.  There is a draft copy of one on their web site right now. 

The big change is that they are going to 30 separate units instead of the 5 regions.  The harvest objective for each unit will not be set until May 2012 so just about every hunter is going to go into it blind for a deer tag as far as how many tags will be offered in each unit.
