US Senate Kills Gun Bills

Glad to see Obama's reaction to these gun bills being killed in the senate this week.  Lets him know that he an his vice president can't always impose their will on Constitutional loving Americans.  Let him sit and think about that for a while. My congrats and thanks to those brave senators who used common sense and made one more step towards the preservation of the 2nd Amendment.  Should a president really be reacting like some angry parent who's just been defied by his kids when something like this happens?  Really, who works for who?  The people are his boss, not the other way around.

I finally found somthing I

I finally found somthing I can agree with the President on. We had a sad day in history last week. It was sad because there was even one senator vote yes on this bill. Now we all need to boot the traitors out of office and charge them with treasion for not upholding their oath of office when they voted against the 2nd amendment.

agree'd

Yeah I agree.  The problem I see now is that I read on Fox News that Obama is now going t use whatever executive orders he can muscle to get this stuff passed.  You have to wonder about a president who abuses the over-use of executive orders, especially the first order he ever implimented. Maybe we should propose universal background checks for the presidential candidates and those who get elected as president.  Oh wait, the people tried, but Obama stopped that with his first executive order.

I wouldn't be so quick to high 5.  Harry Reid said they're pulling the proposals "for now."  In other words, they're coming up with a better plan to exploit the next tragedy and then they'll be pressing it again.  I think one big thing they're kicking themselves over is that Newtown happened in December...too much time passed before Congress came off recess and they missed their opportunity to exploit national hysteria while it was still hot.

for now

Yes I agree.  They backed off for now.  They will regroup and keep trying to tear down our country and our rights.  We even have Bloomberg preaching this week that we need to change our interpretation of the US Constitution.  Not more than 50 years ago you'd be snuffed out by the FBI as a communist if any public figure or celebrity made a statement like this.  How do we accept that kind of talk from political leaders today?  We shouldn't!  Bloomberg and his rhetoric needs to be put back in check.
