US Embassy Attacks

With all of the US embassies in Middle East being attacked in the last few days, it sure doesn't seem like our current democratic administration has achieved the results of bettering the US image abroad.  Here's a link for a recent news report from Reuters.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/09/14/us-protests-idUSBRE88C0J320120914?feedType=RSS&feedName=topNews&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+reuters%2FtopNews+%28News+%2F+US+%2F+Top+News%29&utm_content=Google+Feedfetcher

I remember how the message we heard so loudly 4 years ago was how George W. had isolated the US and disinfranchised other countries, essentially fostering an anti-US movement around the globe.  Question is, will the media react to these recent attacks calling the Obama adminstration insensitive, incompetent, and incapable of improving US relations with our "friends" in the Middle East?  No, it's because of a youtube video titled "Innocence of Muslims".  Um...what?  Attacking US embassies (because the video is believed to have originated from the US) seems like a reasonable, rational response from a very progressive and tolerant culture.

Sarcasm

Yup, sure is a peaceful response.

OK, Sarcasm mode off now.

Freedom is dangerous. Thank God we have the First Amendment. I myself will take freedom, and it's dangers, over coddled security any day of the week.

Of course freedom, and it's benefits and dangers is hinging on the precipice in this country right now too. It seems that since radical islamist feelings have been hurt the federal response is to look at charging the guy who made the video with a crime.

We have a choice to make, freedom or suppression of liberty. The current administration, with all it's college educated ninnies that can't even run a lemonade stand, would have you choose suppresion over freedom. The future is in your hands and this is likely the most important election you will see in your lifetime.

One cannot reason with the unreasonable. If you could they wouldn't be unreasonable.

US Embassy Attacks

If we're going to adjust our society to make sure we don't offend radical Islamists, we might as well put women in burkhas and get ready for Shari'a law...'cause that's the only solution they'll accept.  What galls me is the hypocrisy of the Left telling school kids that bullying is wrong and they have the right not to be bullied -- but then rewarding bullying on a global scale.

Yep. Keep moving, nothing to see here...

Yep.  The official stance of the United States is...the horrible movie caused all the ruckus.  Nope, there wasn't anything planned about these embassy attacks...in over 20 separate locations...on 9/11.

REALLY?!?!??

Here's another news clip.

All I can say is WOW, either our current administration is arrogant or thinks we're all stupid.  Maybe both.

I don't know why they just

I don't know why they just don't admit that the radical Muslim people just don't like the USA. It has been this way for as long as we have existed and there isn't a thing that we are going to be able to do to stop it. It doesn't matter if it is a Democrat or a Republican administration they just don't like us.

One thing that used to keep them in line was that their national leader was a dictator who kept them in line. If they started to cause problems he would take them out and have them shot. Now with our nation building that isn't going to happen. It is a lot like the old Soviet Block countries. When they were a part of the USSR they were nice and polite to everyone. Then once they were given their freedom they went back to the way that they were a thousands years ago and started all the old wars again.

I personally think that the best thing that we could do is pull all of our people out of these countries and stop all of our aid that we are giving them. Either military or monetary should be stopped. Let them go through their growing pains and see what happens in 10 or 20 years.

OK, I'm off my soap box.

Seems to me we'd be a lot better off if we started emulating Reagan instead of Neville Chamberlain.  Libya was causing a whole lot of trouble until we bombed them in '86.  Then they suddenly went quiet for over 20 years...and then somebody apologized.  And it wasn't us.  There are people in the world who won't like you, no matter how much butt-kissing you do.   So I think there comes a time when you realize that you'll never get them to like you.  And that's when you decide that it doesn't matter if they like you -- as long as they respect you.  We're dealing with people who respect strength, not weakness.  I don't care if a snarling dog ever lets me pet him...but if he's too scared of me to bite me, that works just fine as far as I'm concerned.

You couldn't have said it better if you tried.  I totally agree.  Meanwhile we have our own government afraid to profile terrorists, or arrest illegals.  Yet that same government has no issue and no problem profiling Tea Party Members, returning combat veterans, or anyone speaking out in favor of traditional American values or in favor of the US Constitution.  You either get the IRS targeting you or you get health services wanting to evaluate your mental health.

I think the quicker and

I think the quicker and harder the retaliation, the better for us. I alswo think those country's should be avoided with embassy's and any and all forigen aide. I see no reason to prop up the enemy and I see no reason to lay back and keep taking this crap from them. I would not care what world opinion would say about a retaliation attack. The world was not attacked! One thing really obvious is O'Bummer's lack of responce. I suspect even Clionto might have responded to them. If he did it proper or not is another matter. GW, his dad, Regan, Nixon, ect would have already attacked. We protect people around the world and our soldier's die but, not any responce to the muslim's. The b*stard didn't even say anything to them that we know of.
