these use to be part of the unit 31 that I live and hunt in, and I will tell you that I was very disappointed when they made units 32 & 33. there are some big sand hill deer in 33 and some nice deer spread all over 32.
the thing to do is pick a spot and put in a lot of time scouting or you will think that it is all just barren ranch land.
I usto unt 33 all the time.. Its some hard hunting but they have some really nice bucks.I would try hunting in the kato fild of of hwy 380 just between Tatum and Roswell... its just off the cap back to the north iv seen some relly heavy antlered bucks come out of there the past couple of years... but as far as 32 and 40 im not sure i know 32 it alot like 33 but a little flater in some areas... i hope this helps
As I sit and glass, which is common for hunters out west, I have sort of quickly discovered something I never learned when I was younger.
In my youth I had enthusiasm and spirit. In my middle to advancing years I have creaky knees, arthritis, and I tire more easily than I used to. Where I used to sit on the cold hard ground I now look for that soft spot to sooth my tired muscles. That leads me to my tip.
Carry your soft spot with you!
In my pack I carry an air filled, ultralight, camping pad....
