After 220 years of our current government, our nation is $11.7 trillion in debt. The Obama administration just announced that that debt will increase another $9 trillion over the next ten years -- $2 trillion more than they projected earlier this year.
In 1831, Alexis de Tocqueville said, "The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money."
Two other favorites of his:

- "In other words, a democratic government is the only one in which those who vote for a tax can escape the obligation to pay it."
It looks at though they want to bankrupt us. That's why we weren't suppose to have fulltime/lifelong politicians. They must not realize and understand what it takes to keep a budget or just not care. Sooner or later we will pay the piper.
Over the years I have seen several elk and deer hides left in the woods by hunters and I have to wonder why they do this? I fully understand and agree about getting the hide off the animal as soon as possible to cool the meat, but why not pack out the hide with you and use it? As far as I know there are no state laws that require you to take the hide home, but to me why waste such a beautiful part of the animal? Some might think they have no use for the hide or it costs too much to tan....
