Unit 61 Had a blast !!!!!!!

Well it did not take us long this morning as we ended the hunt early with a super heavy bull and was back at camp by 11:45 a.m.. It was an awesome scream fest this morning with even some fighting thrown in. It was awesome ! Thumbs up

The bull was the 2nd biggest in the group and my brother could not be happier. We had an awesome experience and a lot of fun.

My brother with a great smile.

My brother and I.

I hope everyone did as well this 1st season.

Thanks

Thanks guys !

cantgetdrawn,

We were hunting between 8500' and 9000' for this particular group of elk. The biggest bull we found last weekend before season was down around 6000', but we were not able to keep tabs on him thoughout the week before season.

Nice bull!

Congrats on a great hunt.  Sounds like it was too short, but the ending was tough to beat!  Great bull too, he sure does look heavy all the way through the tops. Beautiful!

Thanks for the pics.

Great job and congratulations

Great job and congratulations on a magnificent bull!! I love the way that first picture shows him off and how heavy he is. I figured you would do well but sure didn't think you would be posting up this quickly.

Congratulations again to your brother. So who gets to go next and how many points does 61 take anyway?

Nice Bull! He looks really HEAVY! Is that a hole in his G4? Looks odd(unique).

Nice work, Tyson

Congradulations to your

Congradulations to your brother and to you too. That is one heck of a bull. He looks like he has great mass. The smile on your brother's face says it all. Looks like a great time. So was there a lot of rutting activity like everyone back there was hoping for? I know we missed it during archery season. However there are no elk hunts right now in Oregon exept one OTC hunt in a very horrible area. Are you going to be filling a tag soon Quinton? Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
