Can anybody give an idea of good access road into the south eastern part of Gmu 37 in Colorado. I will be archery huntIng this unit in 2013. I would like to camp in this area during the summer, in order to locate the elk for fall. I'm not asking for where the elk are, unless someone wants to donate that information??? I just want a good place to start putting in work.

West Slope
I was born and raised on the Western Slope and grew up hunting, trapping, and fishing all the areas around Grand Junction.
I have hunted deer and elk in most the units around the area here. The unit I hunt elk in typically I do not usually share info on just because it is the heaviest hunted unit in Colorado, but all the other units around me I have no problem sharing info on (units 41,42,31,30,40,and 61).

Good guess, but I have never hunted unit 61 for myself. I have grown up in all of this country around here and I know the better part of it very well. Unit 61 never impressed me when I was younger except for all the fun fishing spots I have over there. Since it was changed into a trophy unit all the guys that hunted it before switched to my side and changed the country I hunt forever.
I have helped quiet a few people take some great critters over the years and I enjoy it almost as much as if I were to take the animal myself. The only thing I really enjoy more is watching my kids, nephews, and nieces take there critters.
