MNR loses control of hunt
A COMPUTER virus, power outages, and the bankruptcy of a "critical data-entry supplier" played part in the delayed release of an unknown number of controlled deer-hunt tags this fall.
Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) Senior Media Specialist Steve Payne says that as many as 3,000 successful applicants might not have received their Farmer/Landowner Controlled Hunt Validation tags in time for hunts in Aurora, Midhurst, Peterborough, Aylmer, and Parry Sound Districts.
