You don't sound a wee bit

You don't sound a wee bit excited haha. It is way better to be oozing enthusiasm than be a lame person that is under control. I would thank your mama if I was you. I hope you can post pictures of some big boys too. Good luck and keep us posted.

And Alpine... are you really up for another location change? ha Didn't you just move out there not too long ago?

haha yeah I just moved to FL

haha yeah I just moved to FL but I had other things in mind then how lame the hunting is down here. I'm going to have to save my money for a private land lease because this public land hunting in FL isn't cutting it. I've seen one deer all season.Help!

I'm back...actually i've been

I'm back...actually i've been back for 2 week's now, just got sent out of town work'n down in Sarasota when i got back...Well i'm a lil disappoint'd in myself, first morn'n of Muzzy i miss'd a nice one,he was'nt no monster but he was a Dcent 8 pointer.I got pic's of him on game camera.Dont no what happen'd,had cross hair's on him when i pull'd trigger,i kick myself in butt for be'n impataint ,tried a face to face chest shot, thought he was fix'n to bolt on me.My Pop's got a nice 120 pound doe,he seen a couple of rack's but they were to far for muzzy. My cousin hit a nice 8 pointer, his gun misfire'd cause'n him to flinch, only thing we found was 3 drop's of blood,we warn'd him bout them ol style primer cap's but that's what his Knight use's.If my memory serve's me correctly i Blieve there was a 4 pointer (his first buck),a 7 pointer,a 8 pointer an several doe's taken.I could have taken a couple of doe's but i was wait'n on my horn's to show up.If pic's i post go in order i put them on they are...Peanut field, down on far right of pic in bottom is where i miss 'd him....Then there's my Pop's with his big doe on Bad Boy....Buck in back of buggy taken by a member....Check out this ol cemetary on property, some of the headstone's date back to the 1840's...Then there's the Buck i miss'd,i'm hope'n i get more pic's of him while i'm gone or of his daddy(ha)....Even though i did'nt knock any brown down i had a good time, ant nut'n like be'n round kin folk an friend's dew'n what we all love.MayB next time i'll get him, hope'n to head back up that way in a few week's,durin rut.Man i tell ya,i had a first time Xperience,an it was BeuTTful, sit'n in stand either early morn'n or late afternoon an have'n flock's of canadian geese fly just over tree top's,that right there made trip worth while, nut'n like it!Back in Florida,we have muzzy, start'd last saturday, wife an i only got to go out saturday morn'n,seen 2 doe's.While we were gone we got pic's of 7 pointer at feeder (last pic).Hope he or bigger one come's in on her this weekend.

Great pics!

Sounds like you have the right mindset when it comes to the hunt!  Filling a tag is always nice but spending time with family and friends doing what we love to do is what it's all about!

That doe your Pops got looks real healthy!  Hopefully the buck in your trail camera pictures will show back up for you when you get back up there!

Where are you guys from in Central Florida?  I lived in Longwood during my high school years and went to Lake Brantley High School.  My Mom, brother, and sister all live in Deltona now.  My brother and sister both went to Deltona HS.
