Trinidad, Colorado elk info

Hi all. I am looking for any info you guys might have on elk hunting in the Trinidad area. I am trying to plan a DIY in 08' Rifle or bow-does not matter. Any info on where to go, elk numbers, hunter numbers, etc are appreciated!
