Trekking/Hiking Poles

I'm looking to buy some trekking poles. Does anyone have any suggestions ? Cabelas makes a pair that look pretty nice and they are 50% off now for $30. Any comments ?

Those are the spring loaded

Those are the spring loaded ones on the tip correct? I just got a pair of those and they were so so in my opinion. The so so rating was when you adjust them I was having trouble with them sticking. Other than that they worked pretty good on my backpacking trip last weekend. Maybe I'm just not adjusting them correct. Play around with them in the store before you buy and decide

Thats part of my problem.

Thats part of my problem. I'll have to have them shipped to me if I order from Cabelas. Thanks for the review that helps a lot.

Eh I'm pretty lucky to where

Eh I'm pretty lucky to where I can drive 10 minutes down the road and be in their parking lot. Glad I could help out a bit. Check out the reviews if you have not already and see what everyone else is thinking as well....
