The fisher was introduced to Nova Scotia quite a # of years ago and have done well . Their main diet is porquepine . I have taken a few with quills embedded right under the hide . One has to be careful when skinning a fisher for just that reason . All the furbearers are going to be doing well when the new trap regulations are put in place . There will be a lot of trappers give it up . This is what the anties are wating for .... regulation after regulation until all the trappers just say the hell with it .

Thanks Hiker , The cats averaged $150.00 on the Feb sale . They would be early cats. Our cats are a bit more prime and should average a bit more . It's great to see the prices up fairly good . Don't know how long that will last . The fur industry has it's ups and downs .

d3238 , We don't sell tanned pelts .We ship raw furs to the fur auction . If you catch your own you could have a taxidermist tan them for ya for a reasonable price .
