I need to find someone in Kansas to show me how to do this trapping stuff, looks very interesting and gives me an excuse to get out in the field more often!!!

Oh, I hope your wife is very understanding! I got involved in trapping to spend more time in the woods too. After my first week on the line, I realized how chalenging it was and what a great sense of anticipation you wake up with every day. I can easily bring my wife and kids with me and it doesent seem to affect the outcome like it does with hunting. Even if it does its still a great way to spend time with them and they realy enjoy it too. I cant imigine what imiges were going through my wifes mind about trapping but once I brought her along the first time she saw that it wasn't as bad as she thought and she also found out that she realy enjoys it too. She wants to get her certification next year and trap too! That should be fun. Getting her out of bed in the wee hours of the morning isn't always easy though. eye roll
If you trap.....you cant even take one day off. No matter how sick or tired you are.

If you are serious I can put you on a website where someone will show you what you need to know to get started. 7000 trappers there and most are extreamly helpful.

Hiker , the log sets has to be my favorite and that hole is one of the best . I just found those logs . There is 3 along the brook fairly close togethet but that one was the hot spot . Not much had to be done to that spot
