trapping

My son and I are doing the trapping together or I probbably wouldn.t be at it at all A lot of work and the price of gas . we take turns with our vehicles so that's not too bad . I'm not in the best of shape anymore with bad disc ,artheritis and M S . I think it's the exercise that's keeping me from seizing up LOL I can't go at it as hard as I could when I was 30 . I'm passing the secrets and tips on to my son now . I hope I'm good for a few more years yet now that I have a helper LOL

In the barn pic there is a pile of beavers and coons and a few otters that are hard to see .An older type camera and poor lighting don't make for a good pic

I'd say you're getting around pretty good, but it's hard to sit at home knowing you have all that fun out there to enjoy. I've been stuck close to home lately and am about to go nuts

trapping

I'm still able to get around but it don't take long to slow me down . A couple good walks in the bush and I'm slowed down good . I don't have the crippling kind of M S . I really have to take my time . The walking in the snow really does me in quick . I just have to adapt to what ever comes .

no trapping

I Washington there are NO body gripping traps allowed...legholds, snares, or conibars...it make it tough to trap. We are allowed to live trap. It's practically impossible because of the weight of the traps and the animals don't readily walk into them.
A few years ago the anti's ran a series of TV ads showing coyotes chewing off thier legs and bears being torn apart by hounds. Then they introduced legislation and it passed easily. Now we can't hound hunt for cats or bears and we can't trap.
