Are you checking the bean field camera? I must admit I am pretty excited to see some of those brutes you were talking about. Also have you had the chance to talk to the owners of the field to see if they will let you go after them?
Yes I will be checking the bean field camera. I haven't talked to the owners yet. I wanted to get some good pics and take them a package of meat as well. Hopefully that will soften them up a little, lol.
Well, I was hoping for a few more pics, but the bean field did not disappoint. Here are 3 pics of the big wide 8 point. Unfortnately he is kind of in the back ground and one of his up and comer buddies is only a few feet from the camera. Just blow the pics up, He looks really nice!!!!!
Try to put your tree stand in a tree with plenty of background cover, keep the prevailing winds for that time of the year to your face, and take care of those pesky squeaks and creaks your stand may have developed while sitting in the shed. A good treestand lube can be made by heating petroleum jelly until it reaches a liquid form. Some hunters have reported success by including a cover scent in this mixture before applying it to their stands.
