my friend has set up several digital cams as trail cameras, including one that can do video clips, he said he found a company that makes some card you rig up, and it all fits in a standard trail cam box. if you are still intersted, let me know and i will get the info for you.....
hello again, ok the camera stuff is available at pixcontroller.com /my buddy says you have to be able to do some soldering, but says it was a lot cheaper than buying a brand new one, and they work, without the time and cost of developing 35 mm pics of raccoons and other stuff!!
There can be too much of a good thing with antler rattling.
I like to hit the horns together for a good 30- to 40-second rattling sequence and then hang them up and resist the urge to hit them again.
This works to the hunter's advantage, because if a buck has heard it, he may have been 300 or 400 yards away and he comes in and he's not exactly sure where it came from.
When finally is time to rattle again throw a slight change-up into the routine.
The second time, don't rattle as loud...
