For the sake of argument, let's just hypothesize that ''magical'' was used as an adjective. There is actually plenty of technical data on those rifles on and off the website. Research that's not thorough is not research at all.

The 4/10ths versus the 7/10ths guarantee? Did you actually look at what some of the groups his signature rifles shot were? The ones described in the Field and Stream article were about 1/10-1/15 of an inch center to center!!!! Must be that ''magic.''

But then reference was made that the 6mm PPC might be a belted cartridge. ??? Not in my books! I believe it's a re-formed 220 Russian isn't it?

This thred must be over my head. What in the world are you guy's talking about?

I'm not sure what scares me the most: the fact that someone as slow as you has managed to survive, or the fact that you are carrying a rifle with live ammunition somewhere out there.

Killer debate skills by the way! You sure showed me...

Okay guys enough is enough! If we can't have a normal debate about this and other subjects then you will leave me no choice but to lock the thread. Now let's all play nice and I'll play nice. Shame on You!

It's a "magical" hypothetical for arguments sake thread. It's make believe.

Jarrett makes some fine rifle but Obviously, the author hasn't completed his research.
In the authors own words. Research that is not thorough. Is no research at all.

Well I read it twice and I don't really understand how it got from Fuzzybear's post on the wsm's to this. Well maybe I do, but this is all pretty off the wall.

All I could say is, don't let the ignorant drag you down to their level, they'll use their experience to beat you!

Playing the devils advocate here are two articles to read... one for WSM and one against. It is obvious that the calibers are so close to their big brothers that this argument even exists. From what I read it sounds like the WSM are better with the lighter 150-180 gr. rounds and the 300 mag and UM are better with the 180+ bullets. It is, however, difficult to compare factory rounds and published ballistics. Factory WSM are factory loaded pretty hot (close to max loads) and tested in 26"+ barrels so you will see velocity loss in the 22-24" barrels that are the norm for this caliber. 300 win mag and other full length magnums are typically used in 26" barrelled rifles so the ballistics are closer to stated amounts. Just food for thought. Think
