Just got back from another

Just got back from another trip to the mts in search of Barbary Sheep.

Nothing was spotted this time so I'll be back up there in a couple of days. I did alot of walking/glassing and I did find an antler shed.

Here are some pics.

It has not been easy

It has not been easy.

I'll be trying a new area tomorrow. Game warden said a couple of sheep were shot there on opening day. We'll see.

Next weekend, I'll be headed up to the spot I've been working on since the start of the season if nothing happens tomorrow.

Tougher than it looks!

I believe they are the toughest animal to hunt. The numbers are not great to begin with and the country you find them in can be unforgiving to say the least. We have not had any luck either; but I have heard of a few kills in Unit 30. I'm headed back up for (4) days and then will hit it again from the 22nd to the end of the hunt. If you tag out I'd love to hear were you found sheep. Good luck!

Fyi, I have a friend that killed a ewe a couple of weekends ago. He got it at the mouth of dark canyon as it drops off the rim. might be worth looking at.

Undecided on sticking to the same area vs. trying out another location. I have one more shot at this next week.
