If you could have one case to build three rifles for North America what would you build?
I'm pretty sure I'd do a 25-06, a 280Rem and a 338-06. I wouldn't want to shoot varmits all dat with any of them but oretty much everything else is covered.

Not oly for the 30.06 selection of loads but also for the much revered 270
Don't have my manuel in front of me but doesn't the 25.06 have the same case specs.?

7x57mm Mauser with 140gr bullet - RL19 powder

Funny thing, I thuoght about the same case briefly. But I'm aint a fan of the 8x57.
But a 5.6x57, a 7x57 and a??????????? huh! Yep, it's gotta be the 30-06.

Yea, I'd rather go with a 260 rem w/120gr & 140gr, 308 win w/180gr and a 338-08 w/225gr. All with H4350 powder. Three of the most inherently accurate rounds developed and with plenty of punch.
The 6.5-06, 30-06 and 338-06 would accomplish the same.
I put those in to add some of the metrics but, they are some affective rounds and do make a great combination.
