While it may not be hunting season(I guess I still have geese and pheasants), it is almost application season. For me, I've always enjoyed the whole offseason process of selecting units to apply for and fantasizing about hunting them. After application season comes drawing season, the hand wringing time of year when it is too difficult to do any scouting, much of which is futile anyway because you don't know where you are going to draw. After the draws (most of them are in June for me, which is also when the mountains begin to thaw out), I finally get to go scouting, which I love.
Anyway, who here is bored to tears with the offseason? How early do you guys start your planning? I know I'm already thinking about next year as soon my last season closes.
