Perhaps this is a bit self serving. I think everyday should be Veteran's Day. USAF 1965 to 1972. I've never worked anywhere I got the day off much less paid for it. When I was in the service, Veteran's Day ment I had to march in a parade somewhere!

Some of my friends and family:

Clyde "Bud" Cole Purple Heart Pacific WWII

Flurry "Doc" Elvin Purple Heart Italy WWII Disabled

Larry Brents USA Retired Field medic two tours Vietnam Disabled

Wayne Middleton USA Vietnam KIA

Charles Wright USA Purple Heart Vietnam

Thomas Hershey USMC Perple Heart Vietnam Disabled

God's speed my brother's. You'll never be forgotten here!

I agree, we all should take some time to reflect on the lives lost for our country and sacrifices that vets have made for each and every one of us.

Thanks to all the veterans!

Here's several nice editorial cartoons about Veteran's Day;

The one of the ribbon tied around the oak tree is from the Mobile Register.

Thanks to all Veterans

Just wanted to say "THANK YOU!" to all the service men/women, an extra thank you to my Dad ( United States Coast Guard), Uncle Jack (United States Navy), Uncle Dick (USMC). Thanks.
