Thank goodness for late season cow tags. As I posted back in September my family and I ended up with tags soup during ML season. However, I did manage to get a nice big old cow down opening day of the late cow season. Something I had forgotten was that packing a cow out by yourself thru 8-10 inches of snow at a distance of over two mile up hill is A LOT of work. However, you need to go where the elk are and that is the price you pay to fill your freezer. Now that she is all butchered and in the freezer I can relax and enjoy the fruits of my labor. Sorry no photos, just did not have a camera on me at the time. Hope all have a great Thanksgiving.
