State Parks Hunting Opportunities
It has been a long time coming. The fact that land in Texas being privately owned in most cases has been a blessing and a curse. We have some great wildlife management on private lands, but for the average hunter and his family can forget it, the cost are prohibitive.
Now we have a chance to utilize a resourse that has been under untilized in the past. I am suprised that it took the state so long to make this decision. Other states have been doing this for years.....
As a bowhunter, traditional flavor, I would like to see the state provide bowhunting opportunites in parks located in urban areas.
Anyway, it is a good idea that has been a long time coming. Let's sit back and see how they manage it. I have some comments on that too....that will have to wait until another time....
