Texas Hill Country Boar

I have visited with several from this site about hogs in my area. This russian hog was caught in a trap that we baited with the left over remains of a black buck antelope. Typical pig in our area.

That's a damn good hog that would make one hell-of-a mount!

Pretty typical of all the hogs we take. They usually have some teeth and know how to use them. Our dogs are good dogs but still get some good cuts. We lost a good catch dog last year ( a big dogo ) on a toothy boar that netted us #1 in the world only to be taken over a month or so back to set us to # 2. The boar only weighed a little under 200 but had some teeth....

We run dogs about twice a week to keep the hogs numbers down and trap year round, but can still see hogs all the time.... ever get to texas, i can hook ya up on a good hunt or two.
