My buddy and I are looking to go out to Terry to do a goat hunt this fall. Any info on the area? Were probably going to hit up the Block Mang land 2 huge chunks over 150,000 acres but any other info would be great. Thanks

Small town on the Yellowstone. The Block Management land out there is excellent for antelope and pretty good for deer.
The coolest place no one has ever heard of is called the Terry Badlands, just north of the River, west of of town. All BLM. Shot my first mule deer buck out there on a crazy windy day. No antelope in those badlands, but plenty of deer.
There is an old hotel in town, cheap prices, full of hunters to wake you up in the morning on those old hardwood floors. A bar right across the street. I think there may even be a small motel or two at the edge of twon
One of the best ways to scout your hunting area is to look for signs that mature animals leave behind. Wallows, scrapes, rubs and areas littered with tracks are great evidence that game are using your area. But why not look for the single piece of evidence that you are hunting for when fall rolls around anyway... antlers. Game animals in the family cervidae shed their antlers annually. Why not use these unique souvenirs as a way of helping you fill your tag next fall?
