Well I aplied for and recieved a controled hunt for muzzel loader. Monday a person in our party got an eleven pointer and on Wednesday I was sitting in a tree stand and along comes this little buck fawn. To my serprise I saw rightr on his heals a rack coming over the ridge I waited till I had a good shot and plugged him. The only problem he turned around and ran down the hill and across the road where he came from and died 30 yards on private property. I did the ethical thing and asked the land owner if I could retrieve my deer and he asked where it was so I told him thinking that It wouldn't be a problem. Well at this point he says that It was private property and I COULD NOT GO GET MY DEER.
Neddles to say I was stuned.so I left and was debating to go get it anyway when He comes along on his snow machine hooks on to it and takes it to his place up the hill. Some times it dosen't pay to do the right thing.
He was a beautiful 10 pointer. The only consolation is that at least he wasn't wasted.
So much for this hunting seasion.
I gess that hunting seasions like the one I have keep you humble for the realy good ones that you get.
Thought I would share F.K.
