No I'm not talking about tea bagging. But one Senate seat and one Cogressional seat.
All Franken who wrote that book about a certain portion of the political spectrum renoun for it's truthiness quotient http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lies_and_the_Lying_Liars_Who_Tell_Them
has been waiting to be seated in Minnasota in what must be one of the longest senate races in history. His apponent and the rest of the world that can count to numbers higher than 2 digits have known who won for about five months now. To keep the Democratic majority from being that little bit more overwhelming Republicans have exausted much effort (and money) trying every leagal tactic in the book to keep Franken from being seated.
Up until now.
A new poll (remember those things no one pays any attention to and are totaly untrustworth) shows that the people of Minn. are sick of being under represented in Washington and it might cause some unpleasantness (Nov 4 any year) for the Republicans in Minn and elsewhere. http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/PPP_Release_MN_415.pdf
Interesting that Minnasotans voted at a rate of 78% of eligable voters last cylcle. Good citizens!
Now Republicans seem to be jumping ship as it might affect future votes. Morning Joe, the former Republican Senator, National Review, etc. Wonder when Coleman will give up the ghost?
The other race, the tie in upstate New York where registered Republicans outnumber Dems 2/1 has broken for the Dem and been upheld by a Republican judge. Guess all those absentees from the military helped. I think the military vote breaks Dem these days.
Of courser there's always Washington DC which has more people than Wyoming but zero senators or congresspeople, compared to Wyoming's two and one.
The more people are represented the better our system operates I'd say.
