sweet redemption in unit 10 for my dad.

Well guys thigs finally came together and my dad was able to put one down this morning. The weather was pretty nasty up there but it kept the elk moving most of the day.

Saw 10 bulls yesterday, 3 on private, 3 too small, and 4 good ones we just couldn't get moved in on with the fog that rolled in up high.

Killed this one first thing this morning in an area where my packing distance was very short so it worked out great. He shot him at 7:30 and we were on the way out by 10:30.

We had a fantistic hunt together and I can't wait till we get out after something else soon.

Wow!

Nice bull.  The daggers on that dude are huge.  Way cool and what a great way to end your 17 years of waiting and planning!  Way to go and get it done.:=D>

Yeah, aren't they?  Holy

Yeah, aren't they?  Holy smokes, those are some long tines on that sucker!

A big congrats to your Dad, Hunter!  It looks like you had a dream elk season.  Hunting with your Dad, but then to both be able to harvest a nice bull elk!  Very nice!

Would love to do that with my Dad one day, but we'll have to see.  Thanks for the report!

Nice work!

From your first post, it sounded like you were having some doubts, but reading about how it ended, I don't think you should have any regrets.   Applause  Both you and your dad's bulls are very nice!  Both sets of antlers represent a hunt that neither of you will ever forget.  Congrats!

While that bull may not be

While that bull may not be the biggest he is a keeper along with the memories of the hunt.

I still remember my last hunt with my dad even if it was over 50 years ago and I'll never forget it.
