Survey

Hello,

I am doing a small survey on fishing and hunting. I need enough responses to do the research and I particularly need responses from people who hunt.

If you would fill in the questionnaire, it would help me a lot and it takes you 2 minutes at most.

Thanks in advance,

Welcome to BGH Ronnie.

Where can we go to see the results of your research?
Are you going to post the results here for us?
I did take your survey.
Good luck.

I will post the results as soon as the surveys have enough participants.

But for this moment: the hunters are outnumbering the fishermen!

I smell a rat. I started taking the survey, and about the third question in it started asking me how much pain (on a scale of 1-10) I thought an animal felt when "caught", and the next question asked me to use the same scale to answer how much pain I thought animals felt at slaughterhouses. When I tried to exit out of the survey and shut down the window, my computer locked up so hard I had to hold down the power button and do a brute-force reboot.

I didn't have any issues like Ex did, but I did think the survey was worded a bit oddly. This survey is not composed by a hunter or even a fisherman.

So Ronnie what exactly is this research for?

I bailed because for one thing, the pain questions were irrelevant. For another, they're no-win questions geared toward an agenda.

Responsible hunters want to minimize animals' suffering because we respect them and feel we owe it to them in return for what they give us. But I didn't see the survey going in that direction -- looked like it was cooked up to fuel an anti-hunting screed.

The "issues" I was talking about, were the computer related ones. My PC did not lock up, neither did my browser, but then I didn't try to exit in the middle of the survey either.

The survey is odd and does make me suspicious.

And the Ron-mister seems to have bailed as quick as he appeared Think

Yeah he's the second new guy I've seen here who I was suspicious of. We've had a couple new people snooping around on this forum who I think have an anti-hunting and anti-gun agenda and are looking to get some info to put their own spin on.

I have no problem contributing if someone is doing some research for legitimate purposes as college paper or a report, just as long as they are fair and objective about the subject. You can always tell by the type of question someone is asking where their agenda lays.
