I don't know anything about Wash but I do know theres lots of land around there. Theres a big mill there in town. Think I'd go talk to them about hunting on what ever property they might have. Should be lots of timber co land around there. You shouldn't have to much trouble around there I woldn't think.

Ive hunted the matlock/ elma area for the last 4-5 years and havent ever walked away empty handed there is so much land to cover and really not that many other hunters.

Thanks for the info.... I have spoken with the timber companies, and you can hunt on Green Diamond lands, How ever before we got that sweet hook up with the private land...I hunted those areas, and they were crawling with fools driving around on Motorcycles, or cars and trucks. They just push the deer out onto those private lands, and you never get a chance at them.
As far as the Matlock and surrounding areas Do you walk aroud, sit in a blind or tree stand.... It seems to be so thick there that it is nearly impossible to see anything. We have had good luck in tree stands in the past, and would like to find an area that this might work in!!! Please let me know if you have any other ideas........!

most of the time I will drive around till I find that perfect clear cut. I have taken all my deer in the morning or eve. out of a clear cut. Ill usually sit on a couple through out the day and go from there. I also know a couple guys that just road hunt and they have had just as good of luck, thats not really all that fun so ill strick to my own thing. good luck
