Stupidity of monolithic proportions

Good grief Keoeeit, why are you putting so much energy into posting on a hunting forum? You're entitled to your beliefs, but you know what? so are we.

On this forum it doesn't matter if you're Christian, Muslim, Jewish or any other faith or even Pagan. Its about open discussion and respecting each other's beliefs, even if they don't mesh with your own.

And Expatriate hit it on the nose, you are bitter. All you're doing is trying to shove your beliefs and ideas down our throats. We don't need it.

Ohhh boy, a surprise! I love surprises! This is almost as cool as when I have a new box of cereal and there's some cool new toy at the bottom and I can't wait to eat up all the cereal to get to it. Don't tell my mom, but I used to pour all the cereal out and get the toy and then say I spilled it all by accident and had to throw it way.

So for 50 years you have successfully blocked out all forms of rational thought. That is truly awesome. I love the idea that if I went back to my Pagan ancestry, I'd be a better hunter. So THAT'S what I've been doing wrong all this time! Who would have thought!

''Then I guess you aren't too aware of the 9 million women, children, healers, teachers and midwives of Europe that were put to death (made into human sacrifices by christians to appease their belief in their christian god). It's called "The Burning Times", eloquently covered in a documentary by the Film Board of Canada in a video title of the same name, "The Burning Times". Try to find a copy, it'll be your primer to what "truth" really is.''

I've been boycotting the Film Board of Canada ever since they sent me Pootie Tang Uncensored. I still have the occasional flashback. I just love ethnocentric people, I really do. Are you a woman? If so, marry me! Laugh But not really.

I guess I should be scared now. I have spoken out against superior wisdom, and now it is quite possible that the Pagan Clown Posse come to my house and rough me up. Please have mercy. Please. Please. sad

''BTW: My comment about the snakes was to point out the fallacy of the story of St. Patrick, not about biological ecosystems. There is a reason they invented the story about "snakes", none of it very complementary to christian values. It just reveals more christian lies, deceptions, and their total disrespect for all others.''

Or maybe it's simply due to the fact that back then nobody really gave much thought to ecology. I should point out that infectious diseases were thought to be punishments, and the Bubonic Plague came from the stars. Darn those contagious aliens, darn them all to Hades!

Right you are. Have I told anyone to not post their beliefs? Yet you want me to not post mine. Typical christian. It's an open forum for discussion, but shut up. Their blatant and transparent hypocrisy never ends.

Ever hear of Aesop's Fable, "The Fox and the Grapes"? This fox kept leaping for some grapes, and every time he couldn't get them, he declared how terrible and bitter they must be. Watch how they leap for the grapes, time and time again, and get nothing but more angry with themselves.

You know, I just now realized something, maybe I have found Truth: it is hysterically ironic that this is all happening on a thread titled '' Stupidity of Monolithic Proportions.''

''Ever hear of Aesop's Fable, "The Fox and the Grapes"? This fox kept leaping for some grapes, and every time he couldn't get them, he declared how terrible and bitter they must be. Watch how they leap for the grapes, time and time again, and get nothing but more angry with themselves.''

Darn those grape-eating foxes! It needs an alternative ending.

''Alas, as he realized he would not reach the grapes, he revved up his Husqvarna 455 Rancher and laid the tree to the ground, and alas, the grapes tumbled across the holy soil.''

It's got a ring to it. Thumbs up

Right back at you! You are a TYPICAL atheist/pagan shoving HIS/HER beliefs down our throats. Nobody said you're not entitled to yours, but WE are entitled to ours as well. Who's the hypocrite???

Beliefs based on fables, that expains everything!

Haven't you ever wondered just how absurd it is to cut down a green tree and put it inside your house?

no I haven't
Besides I have a PLASTIC and METAL tree...hummmm but you probably already knew that just as you know what MY ancestors did.

The subject of my reply was based on Capt O's thread subject line and not whether or not Christmas should be a christian only holiday.

But you see, according to the christian calendar Winter ends on March 21st..

The 12 month calender was developed by the Romans over 700 years before Christ was born.

I'm not surprised at your comment though, it's the typical self-centered, self-righteous, self-serving, demeaning values that all christians display. It's built into your religion to be that way. Why you choose such a vile religion that teaches you to be this way is beyond me though.

If you are a representation of Paganism then I am glad I have evolved from my ancestors beliefs to that of my present day Christian beliefs. Your arrogance astounds me and your belligerence frightens me but most of all your delusions worry me. I would be interested in meeting the College professor who put this perspective in your thoughts, they should be ashamed at themselves.

I am glad to see that I have gotten to you in some manner or another as your conscience is bothering you enough that you have to attack me and the others on here personally when we simply want our right to call a Christmas tree a Christmas tree and not be forced into calling it a "holiday tree" which it is not.
It's ok dude/dudette...now turn off the computer and get some rest.

I'm not surprised. Nearly all christians just do what they are told to do without ever questioning why. I wasn't brought up so brain-dead and easy to manipulate.

And the 7-day week is a Nordic invention. A very simple proof that even the beginning of the old-testament starts out in a pack of lies.

I believe the award for arrogance is easily claimed by every christian that believes their's is the one and only true god. Too bad that you aren't running as a pack of blood-hungry christian hounds today, you might learn a thing or two about what "beligerence" really means. As for "delusions", I don't think that someone who runs around for a month worshipping an imaginary god in the sky, and puts a tree in their house and doesn't even wonder why, has any license to tell others about "delusions".
(The virgin mary was just a name they carved over the name of Isis on her statues. The virgin birth was stolen from a more ancient Pagan Roman legend. The "resurrection" was a bastardization of the holiday of Eostre, the Pagan Goddess of spring, to celebrate the resurrection of life in a northern climate, a holiday over 3500 years old. No mother, no birth, no resurrection = no christ.)

I'm sure you would be, I'm probably the first person posting on the origin of the holidays that you've ever run across that knows the true origin to most every ritual and belief that you've blindly practiced your whole life.

Attack? I see ... you read simple irrefutable truths as "attacks". Typical self-victimizing christian posturing to think that that will manipulate others to your way of thinking. The middle-east is chock-full of people that live by that rule. You have learned your religion well.
