This is not gonna end well...seeing this just makes me nervous...
Oh, yeah. That look the doe gives the camera at the end was downright horrifying -- pure evil. I get chills just thinking about it. It looks cute now, but one of these days they're going to slip that doe a Xanax to calm it down and it's going to go beserk and rip someone's face off.
I just laugh at the reporters and the fear of seeing a wild animal. People are funny. I just hung my black bear on the dining room wall -- so I now have a grizzly on wall and a black on the other. My wife teaches early morning bible class to high school students in our home, and the day after I hung the bear this little bitty sophomore that's about 4'8" looked up and said, "Nice bear!" But then, she's shot two herself.
On the other hand, one of the other girls did the look of disgust and gave the dramatic shudder that says the sight of the bear is just so disturbing she has a hard time coping with it. Give me a break.
Try to put your tree stand in a tree with plenty of background cover, keep the prevailing winds for that time of the year to your face, and take care of those pesky squeaks and creaks your stand may have developed while sitting in the shed. A good treestand lube can be made by heating petroleum jelly until it reaches a liquid form. Some hunters have reported success by including a cover scent in this mixture before applying it to their stands.
