Moderator, I would like to include excerpts from this article in a newsletter I edit for hunters. I have looked at TPWD website and don't see any mention of this information. Could you provide a link to the original or would you allow me to use your article? Thanks
Interesting survey results. The anti-hunting text book orientation, however, not a myth. You only have to read them. The survey would indicate that the text book orientation does not have a significant impact on student values which would be a departure from "conventional wisdom". Does anything in this survey explain this? Do the teachers in the survey group choose unique texts?
One of the things I struggle with when afield is keeping my rifle clean and in good working order. Small amounts of dust and dirt collect moisture; moisture can freeze rendering your action immovable when you need it most. I have seen this happen on multiple occasions, and over time, I’ve learned the cause and how to prevent this from happening.
The first thing that you need to avoid before going afield is leaving excess oil on the gun. Oil will trap dirt and sand in all the wrong places....
