Stoeger Condor/Upland opinions?

Howdy All!
My sleddog/wolfdog mutt has decided he wants to be a serious grouse dog and he has even started retrieving. All of this on his own without any training! We've bagged 18 birds so far this season (3weeks).

Mostly been shooting them with a .22lr. Yes, it's legal. In timber they just flush into the trees and sit tight. I've found a few areas were they flush for good wing shooting.

I'd like a 20g. with adjustable chokes and was looking at the Stoegers doubles. Have a fixed budget and a better half who says "Why do you need another gun?.

I have a 12g. pump with a fixed MOD choke and a .410 with fixed IC choke. The .410 leaves me wondering if it's an ethical choice? So I think a 20g. fits the bill?

Opinions/insight would be great!

I have a stoeger condor II o/u in 20ga. that I bought for my son for upland game and ducks over decoys. I have taken it to the skeet field as well to try it out and it worked flawlessly. The wood is not up to par with my other o/u however the shotgun is made tough. It is a bit heavier than I was hoping for for my 12 yr old but for an adult it is fine. Mine does not have a selective trigger but it isn't a big deal. It is still a single trigger at least. It is an excellent value for an upland firearm. I'll be sneaking it out for some hunts if I can get it past my son without him seeing. Thumbs up

The nice thing about it is you don't have to worry about if it gets a little scratch here or there. It is truly a working o/u field gun not a fancy skeet gun. I may well buy another one in 12 ga. or even another 20ga. for myself for field hunting.

That's what I am about. Not into pretty guns. All my rifles have synthetic stocks.
Thanks for the positive feedback!
