Man, I have not been able to practice at all, and the season is 4 1/2 weeks away. I decided last week to dive for a ground ball in a softball game, thinking I was 19, not 39. I landed right on my ribcage, no padding, arms outstretched.
Well, hurt like a son of a gun, and went to urgent care 2 days later after an unpleasant night. Not broken (so they say) but I have a "bruised chest wall". Good goly, that hurts. The 3rd night was the toughest, I couldn't move. It's amazing how much you use your torso in eveything you do.
Anyway, now it's healing to where it feels like a muscle pull, just a bad one. Not even gonna try to pull a bow for AT LEAST another week.
