Still Some Action in SC

Did a tour of the club yesterday and found some rutting activity still going on...

Found several new rubs and also checked on some scrapes that have been there for a while and at least one of them had been lightly freshened up.

Hope springs eternal!

still open?

Good luck out there Jim!

Is there rifle hunting still available in South Carolina?

At least you know that there is a buck still alive and active.  Even if you don't have a chance to bag him you will know he is still doing his job and that there will be a crop of spring fawns.

My hunting buddy saw a small buck (fork horn) on my land the last weekend of the season.  Combine that with the 10 does and fawns that I saw the same weekend and that gives me high hopes for a good crop of fawns in the spring.  Let's hope for a bumper crop of twin bucks in 2011!

Mike, I know this is gonna

Mike,

I know this is gonna sound sick... I am in Game Zone 6 - the LowCountry of SC... our rifle season runs concurrently from 15 AUG to 1 JAN each year.

I do genuinely hope you have a bumper crop of deer in 2011!

That's a good thing to see

That's a good thing to see Jim!

Hopefully you'll get to knock down another one and get some good eats for the winter.  I know you have sure put in your time, so you'll be rewarded one of these days!
