Yeah, I still travel over two hours east to find any wild ones. I see more and more closer to town, but surely no land open to hunt them. Too few of them anyways. With the drought we have been having, I am really suprised how many I have been getting into this year. Guess I am just hitting the right spots.
Very nice! We have some special hunts out here with the juniors, family, and ladies hunts, where they release birds. I used to work in that area, so I'd sit there and watch the dogs work. Always fun to see them getting into it.
We hear more and more about giant bucks these days.
Hunters are on a mission, scurrying to and fro – and even from state to state - trying to find the “perfect” hunting area where big bucks abound and they are found chasing does at all hours of the day.
These properties exist but they are expensive to maintain and generally, very expensive to hunt!
