I have very mixed feelings about the guy. Either he had real guts, or he was the dumbest person around. He obviously cared deeply about wildlife, and yet how many people have tried to pick up a poisonous snake, or grab an alligator by the tail, because they saw him do it? I know of at least one.
Mostly, I feel sorry for his wife and kids. Even if he went the way he wanted to, they're the ones who will be cheated.
