Yes time does seem to be dragging, I will use my time up scouting, small game hunting, 3D shooting, But you are right there is nothing like that first gobble on a crisp spring morning. Can't wait until the stripers start running also.

I heard 'em gobbling during deer season. I never heard them that late in the year. I always seem to see tons of turkeys during deer season.
I'm hoping to try for some stripers this year on the Hudson. I've never been. Looks fun though...

Its still deer season for another month and a half in NJ. Pa ends on Saturday. This year I am going to try my hand with the fox and coyotes too. I have way too much time in the woods left this winter to think about spring!!!

Stripers are great last year was the first real year that I put some time in. Boated 17 bigest being a 24lbs. This year we will try to beat it.

I don't own one personally, but I do no a couple of people who have won them at NWTF events and they love them. They are very expensive though, aren't they?
I have a Mosberg 835 ultamag and that does a number on them longbeards! And it was cheap! I only paid $219 for it... new. I shoot remington 3&1/2" heavy shot. It is a very lethal combo. Shoots and patterns tight at 50 yards. Just an idea for you.
