jjjake, I hope you get back soon and healthy. I bet you will get a nice gobbler, you went and nailed a nice blacktail last year right?

I went for Turkey again this weekend and got skunked. Spent a whole bunch of cash on gas to get over north of Spokane and shot no birds. I hunted the same tom with a friend for two days, saw this tom three times, and he ran like Jesse Owens. He even treed near my buddy an hour early, and my friend didn't think to "binocularize" the trees looking to knock him down....

We need more birds on the westside to hunt!

jjjake, thank you for defending this country, my family, and myself.

Take care.

Iceman, Yap bagged my first deer last year and seems that i'll be going east (winthrop) to get a mule. I'll be back soon just in time for the season. Thanks .

if you asked me, i would say it's not exactly sporting. kind of like shooting ducks on a pond...fish in a barrel....no offense, but i think it's kind of frowned upon as an unethical way of shooting turkeys.

Very well said echo hill. I am not sure about other state's, but here it is not illegal, just looked down upon.

I shoot grouse in trees that fly up when spooked. Personally, I think I would knock a tom out of the tree, no "time outs" here. (Unless after shooting light...)

Let's get back to the birds.

How's everyone doing this spring. I've been so busy. I've only been out once and saw one bird. To far for the bow.
