I know that in most of the Southern Region the spring time turkey season has already open. I recently lost some private land down around the rual area of Tampa, FL for spring turkey season. I do most of my turkey hunting in Ala, Miss, and Ga. Over the last 5 years I have been able to hunt 450 acres of private land in south Flordia for Oceola turkey. Can someone tell me if I can still get a licences for the public land anywhere in Flordia in the southern area for 2011 spring turkey season.

Turkey season starts tomarow
Turkey season starts tomarow here in FL. Most public land here in fl is Quota permit only. You'll have to check the website to figure out exactly where. There are quite a few Public areas that DO NOT require a permit but the hunting presure will be greater there and the birds are somewhat call shy.
