Where in the Grizzly unit did you see them? Was it on public or private land?

In the Grizzly unit it was public land. I don't know the name of the roads to get there, but you go through town and turn Left on the road Price Slashers is on. Head out that way, there is a road that takes you right up into the grizzly's and that is the area we have seen them in often. Sorry I can't be more specific, just don't know the road names or #'s

What town are you talking about? I've never been to grizzly but understand there's no town there anymore?

You must be talking about McKay Road. I'll have to head up there and do some scouting. Already have all my gear including my box call. But I need to do some scounting in order to locate them.

Let me know what you find. I think we are going to go to Eastern Oregon for Turkeys or out of Sisters, but may run up to Grizzly area. Yes, it is Mckay rd. WE used to do 3-D archery shoots up there, then started hunting there. It has been a couple years since I hunted hard there, but my brother-in-law went this year. Saw lots of turkeys. If you know of any good places you want to give me hints on around here, I would greatly appreciate it.

Ah, Grizzly unit. If you go out of Prinville toward Madras, about half way you'll find a turn off to Grizzly. I understand there was a town at one time but its gone.

Several years ago I used to hunt out of Sisters. We hunted off of some forest service road, can not recall the number, but it was not far from Sisters. There was a huge meadow completely surrounded by trees. That place was great for grouse might be good for turkeys.
