I didnt realize that this upcoming spring season would be Quebec's first spring in a while. I was looking at Quebec outifitters online, but none made mention of it.

I was looking at L'oasis du gouin but info I have, though old, says that it is a 4 hour washboard drive to Lac Gouin. That doesnt appeal to me much, but it sure looks like a fine place to hunt a bruin and eat some shore lunch.

the black bear spring hunt has been open for a long time ..it's the fall season that they had closed down ,and now reopened in some zones where bears have become a problem ...also the bear tags were cheaper than moose and deer ,some people went deer hunting with bear tags ,shoot the deer and one of the group members would tag the deer ,and buy a bear tag .this way he could keep on hunting ..not the right thing to do ,but nobody is perfect ..
